This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.

This image depicts an office space at DePuy, Beeston. There are two workspaces, each with a chair, Lenovo branded computer and monitor. A piece of paper is stuck to the wall in the background and another can be seen on the table at the right side of the picture, but both are difficult to read. A waste bin and plug socket can be seen poking into the left side of the frame. The three windows in the background seem to lead out into the factory floor, perhaps the offices were higher up in the building than the manufacturing?
