This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.
This image depicts a kitchen worktop. In the middle many plastic/paper cups can be seen stacked outside down on top of each other. One of them stands out in front of the rest being filled with liquid, while two others are off to the sides holding objects - possibly straws, spoons or stirring sticks. A Stirflow branded microwave can be seen to the left of the cup stack and the sink and soap dispenser can be seen to the right. A safety notice of some kind has been cut off by the left frame.
