This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.

This image depicts a man wearing the black DePuy uniform and a pair of goggles. He is holding a long bunched up belt in both of his hands. It is possibly a component from the Powerfin Bull machines (using for sanding and grinding) in the back or is related to them in some way. A wheeled table rests next to the man with 7-8 shiny components on it. The entire image is slightly blurry.
