This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.
This image depicts an noticeboard hung up on a wall, which is almost empty save for a 'Celtic Wagon' leaflet. The label at the top (reading 'Notice Board') has Unite the Unions' logo on it. There is a Unite the Union information folder stuck to the wall to the left of the board. Four chairs can be seen below the board, while a fifth and a table poke in from outside the frame.
