This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.

This image depicts a man wearing glasses, an ID card, a hairnet and a lab coat/overcoat of some kind. I believe he is conversing to someone else in the room, who is completely obscured save for a small portion of their back that can be seen in the door window. A label on the window calls the room a 'COSHH STATION Clean room', though the rest of the text is illegible.
