This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.

This image depicts a man wearing glasses, gloves, the DePuy uniform and a watch. He is looking inside a tray with a plastic lid (reminiscent of something you might carry a pet with), which contains at least two bottles of something. Both of them have hazard warnings on them (the X). In the far right of the frame there is a warning reading 'Laser Aperture, Class 4 Laser'.
