This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.

This image depicts two men wearing glasses and the DePuy uniform standing in a space. One of them is also wearing an ID card. They are standing in front of a work desk surrounded by machine units. The work desk has two boxes resting on it, one of which has a document poking out of it, and a wall to hang tools from. One of the machines on the right side of the frame is branded 'Doosan'.
