This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.

This image depicts two men wearing glasses and a DePuy uniform. The camera captures them both in a side view whilst looking at each other. The man on the right seems to be speaking (or at least has his mouth open) while holding a cup in one hand. The other man on the left seems to be listening, one of his hands reaching to the machine control panel/interface in the background between them. A eye protection safety mandate can also be seen in the background.
