This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.

This image shows two men posing for a picture. One of them is dark skinned and is wearing eye protection, ear protection and an apron, while the other is white skinned and his holding a cup in one hand. They regard the camera with a grin while posing for a picture. The man on the right has his free arm wrapped around the man on the left.
