This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.
This image shows a wall with three windows, each providing a view of the same room. Four workers, two in one window and one in each of the other two, pose for a photo while wearing hair nets and overcoats/lab coats. Three of them are wearing ID cards and one of them is wearing glasses. The company label and logo ('Never stop moving') are printed in the space above the windows. A label on the negative suggests that this is the stent department.
