This is a photographic negative produced by photographer Ian Beesley. This was part of a project called 'Thackray Remembered' (Thackray 2011) which was commissioned by the Thackray Medical Museum to document the closure of a Thackray factory which manufactured hip and knee replacements. It was taken over by the American company DePuy who moved production to China.

This image depicts a man wearing glasses and a DePuy uniform. He is sitting on a desk as he poses for the camera. A machine control panel/interface can be seen to the left of him while a cup and a document can be seen to the right. Many machines can be seen in his surroundings. One on the left has a eye protection mandate on it while the Lathe on the right is branded with 'Doosan S310'.

The only difference between this picture and H.2025.11.66 is that a very blurry visage of a person can be seen on the right side of the frame.
