Performers in traditional dress at Britain's first ever Asian Mela, held as part of the Bradford Festival. The Bradford Festival was established to celebrate the city's cultural diversity. A programme of formal and informal events spread over two to three weeks each year, the festival showcased music, theatre and arts from many of Bradford's diverse ethnic groups.
