Mrs Begum and her daughter, Aneela Ahmed. Aneela, at twenty-one years old, is the eldest of four Bradford-born Muslim daughters. She spent ten years in Pakistan, when the family returned there between 1974 and 1984 and speaks fluent Urdu. In 1986 she was employed on a one-year Manpower Services Commission (MSC) contract as a receptionist at the Council For Mosques, in Bradford. Aneela lived with her mother in a three bed-roomed terraced house in Bradford.
