Manningham Lane, Bradford
Opposite the bottom of Eldon Place and showing the top corners of Brearton Street and Spring Gardens. The former premises of Speight, coachbuilder, became many years after the motor showrooms of Eric S Myers, whose original bicycle shop is shown as ground floor shop at the Spring Gardens corner of the same block.
The piece with the three arched windows and dormer window is, or was, 60 Manningham Lane, occupied by Mr James Gunston, photographer (donor's grandfather), who also had the glass studio immediately above Myers' cycle shop. Dating based on there being no tramlines which seems to indicate that it was before the horse-trams ran along Manningham Lane.
